Before we get started today, I’m going to post a little link, because some of you have been asking about my 1:1 work. Coaching packages are a deep dive, heart-work investment. And we could all use a little levity, so I’ve put a handful of 1:1 virtual meditation sessions on my calendar each week. Show up. We’ll co-create the hour together in real time. You’ll feel a deep sigh of relief in the moment and walk away with a custom meditation practice for YOU. Here’s the link if you’re curious. Local to the Hudson Valley? I can host you IRL at the studio 👆👆👆

Let me first acknowledge that it is Wednesday AM and not Monday AM. Thanks for your patience this week. 🙏

I had the JOYFUL gift of joining three wonderful women writers in the Berkshires for a quickie writing retreat at the top of this week. I’ve come away renewed, revived, re-inspired and just so grateful to have met a gorgeous new crew.

Funny reflection — I told my husband that I have never met such a similarly extroverted/introverted, indoor-cat🐱group of women before. All of us just curled up cozy on couches quietly and reading and writing during designated silent work hours for a whole day and it was MAGIC. We also arranged charcuterie boards and talked about all the hot goss too, so it was a brilliant mix. Thank you KATE!

Ok, now onto this week’s post!

So you may or may not want to hear this, but sometimes your meditation teacher can’t sleep at night either ;)

I’m up with the rest of you from time to time for all the reasons and with all the worries.

Whenever that happens, I sometimes just quarter-turn like a restless rotisserie chicken as I try to put myself back to sleep.

But sometimes my wiser self remembers the tools I have to help manage my mind, relax my body, and quiet my inner landscape enough to fall back to sleep.

Today’s practice also helps you if you’re like, “hmmmm, right REST - heard of it, heart it might be good for me, no clue how to do it!”

Take 10-minutes, lay down and put this 10-minute puppy on and you will officially have rested with this guided relaxation / body scan.

This is a GREAT starting point for meditation because you don’t even have to SIT. You can lie down. You can even fall asleep. In fact if you fall asleep, I’ve done my job ;)

Reflect :: Rest! How are you with rest?! Can you dig it? Are you resourced? Do you remember how? do you have questions? Try this practice and let me know how it goes.

Now onto your mini-nap😴…
